The dramatic backdrop for our fashion shoot was the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York, which has been located in downtown Manhattan since May 2015. The architect of this temple of art is Renzo Piano, who also designed the Centre Pompidou cultural center in Paris and Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The museum echoes the style of an industrial building and boasts views of the Hudson River on one side and the skyline of Manhattan’s hip Meatpacking District on the other. The Whitney houses the famous Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney collection, and also stages changing exhibitions.
