The time has come: This winter, passengers can travel in Premium Economy Class on all long-haul flights – for which Lufthansa has installed around 3600 new seats. The airline has consecutively equipped its entire long-haul fleet with the new service class, starting with the Boeing 747-8 fleet in 2014.
More leg room, larger screens, porcelain tableware – for passenger who wish to enjoy these and other benefits of Premium Economy Class but have booked a long-haul flight in Economy Class, there is a special upgrade option for many routes called myOffer, which lets you decide for yourself what you would like to spend on the new travel experience. Log in under “My Bookings,” check availability, name your price – and with a little luck you will be able to upgrade to Premium Economy.
To coincide with the full launch of Premium Economy Class, Lufthansa has completed the most extensive cabin renewal program in the history of the airline. All of the aircraft now operating on scheduled flights boast the new cabin interiors. This means that Lufthansa’s entire fleet of 106 long-haul aircraft has been fitted out with modern cabins and new seats in Economy and Business Class. In 76 of these planes, passengers can enjoy the comforts of the new First Class cabin.
