What’s in your bag, Luca Pisaroni?

He knew he wanted to be an opera singer from the age of nine. In January, the 41-year-old bass baritone will perform Beethoven’s Missa solemnis at the opening of Hamburg’s Elbphilharmonie concert hall. Lufthansa Magazin peeked into his bag at Berlin’s Tegel airport.

1 Dogs
My golden retriever and dwarf dachshund accompany me almost everywhere. They’ve been to London, Chicago, Paris, Vienna, Madrid and New York.

 

2 Opera score I prepare for my roles when I’m sitting on the plane. In this age of digital devices, it feels good to be holding paper in my hands.

 

3 Espresso machine
Every traveler needs to take along something to remind them of home. I drink six espressos a day, and I like them strong and almost bitter.
