Not just an eye-catcher, but energy-efficient, too, the Louverwall project by the architects of AND (Architecture of Novel Differentiation) is a bright anomaly in an otherwise somewhat drab Paju, South Korea. The ground-floor café and the apartment on the two upper floors are sheathed in a transparent facade of aluminum louvers that filter the sunlight, bathe the interior in soft light and keep it a comfortable temperature.
