So much better than any computer game: The world’s first digital museum has opened on Odaiba, a man-made island in Tokyo Bay.
The teamLab motto is “Borderless!”, and they apply it to both art and real life. The Japanese collective, which comprises 400 artists, engineers, designers, mathematicians and other creative minds, achieves this with light-space installations. Here, visitors are more than just spectators; barefoot, they immerse themselves in the digital art, practically becoming part of the installation. In June, teamLab opened their own museum in Tokyo, and in August 2019 they will also be exhibiting in Brooklyn, New York. borderless.teamlab.art
