The new satellite building at Terminal 2 raises the bar for travel comfort and convenience by featuring a modern passenger transport system and the “principle of short distances,” as well as numerous play areas for children, lounge chairs, quiet zones and showers at its gates. There is free WiFi access, too, and all the waiting areas are equipped with electrical sockets and USB ports. Further highlights include a ramp control tower at the center, on which an enormous media screen shows short films about exciting travel destinations that are sure to whet your appetite, as well as a new market hall filled with restaurants and shops. Bavarian culture and a typical Munich atmosphere are tangible throughout the building, and that includes the architecture and the food. Status customers have the option of relaxing in five additional Lufthansa Lounges with a roof terrace or panoramic windows and a view of the tarmac.
