Happiness these days is “life balance,” and often sought and found in nature, where the heart rate slows, blood pressure drops and muscles relax, as revealed by a study conducted by the Karolinska Institutet in Solna, Sweden, to demonstrate the positive effect on body and soul of the Swedish outdoors. For the study, five test subjects from four nations spent 72 hours in glass houses on Hendriksholm island – at one with themselves.
