There’s no danger of running out of books here. Tianjin Binhai Public Library boasts 33 700 square meters packed with some 1.2 million books. The new library, designed by Dutch architects firm MVRDV, is also used as a meeting place.

The White Chapel is a Christian church in the largely non-denominational People’s Republic of China. This elegantly simple building was designed by the Lee Architectural and Engineering Design Group from Hong Kong, and stands in the coastal province of Guangdong in southeastern China.
His building bricks are amaretti, panna cotta, cantuccini, zabaglione and tiramisu… Italian pastry chef Matteo Stucchi, 25, combines these sweet treats with tiny figures and toys to compose fun landscapes and scenes. Twice a week, he posts new scenes on his Instagram account I Dolci di Gulliver. So sweet – and much too pretty to eat!
